Sealants
- A dental sealant is a plastic coating that is bonded onto the chewing surfaces of permanent back teeth. This “seals” the pits and fissures on the back teeth and makes it less likely that they will trap food and bacteria.
-
The teeth to be sealed are first cleaned and isolated to ensure a good bond with the sealant. The sealant is then placed on each tooth and a special blue light is used to cure the sealant. Then we make sure the bite feels good and you are done!
